I Have Voice app provides individuals who are unable to move and speak with a means to communicate effectively with the world. It serves as an alternative communication solution (AAC) designed for individuals experiencing advanced stages of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or other motor neuron diseases (MND) that impact speech and motor functions.

The application vocalizes various actions that users can select using their eyes, covering essential daily needs and emotions they wish to convey. Moreover, users have the option to create custom actions tailored to their specific requirements.

The default actions currently offered by the app include:

• I'm thirsty
• I'm hungry
• I don't feel well
• I have pain
• I can't breathe
• Yes
• No
• I'm happy
• I'm not happy
• Roll me over
• I want to sleep
• I want to go outside
• I want to watch TV
• I want to go to the toilet
• I want to lie down
• I want to sit up
• Switch the lights ON
• Switch the lights OFF
• That was a mistake (to indicate an error in previous selection)

Actions can be chosen by fixing one's gaze on an action for approximately 3 seconds or by blinking one or both eyes when focusing on an action. Furthermore, users have the flexibility to reorder actions on the screen and customize which actions appear on each screen. Navigation between screens is facilitated through the activation of the "Next screen" action.

The app offers various sensitivity settings (Settings -> Sensitivity) that enable users to adjust it according to their specific preferences and needs.

For optimal performance, it is crucial to position the iPad or iPhone device in front of the user's face at a distance of 30 to 60 cm. The device should be in portrait orientation, centered both vertically and horizontally in relation to the user's face, and illuminated with adequate ambient light for optimal functionality.

The I Have Voice app requires an iPad Pro or iPhone model that supports TrueDepth Camera for operation. Currently, supported models include iPad Pro 11, iPad Pro 12.9, iPhone X, iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone Xr.

The app has undergone regular user testing to ensure an enhanced user experience and adheres to ISO and W3C accessibility standards under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
